IG Announces Completed sale of Home Health & Hospice Agency

The Independence Group (IG) has assisted in the sale of its client, a Home Health & Hospice Agency, to a private equity-based home health corporation. The buyer will incorporate the Company into a home health platform that it is establishing with acquisitions in California and other states.

The seller is a Sacramento-based agency with with additional locations in the North Bay and San Diego. Its specialties include home infusion therapy, skilled nursing, physical therapy and rehabilitation, team hospice care and personal care/companionship. The Agency added a hospice care division in recent years that has grown rapidly.

The buyer is a corporation formed by two private equity firms that, in turn, partnered with a seasoned executive team. With this new addition, it will now service a census of approximately 2,000 patients.
