IG Kicks Off 2024 with Two Closings

January 2024 – The Moving and Storage Company is a long-respected family business of more than 65 years in Northern California. It provides a full range of storage, packing and relocation services to its customers that include residential homeowners and commercial offices, as well as state and military agencies. The buyer is a husband and wife team that was in search of an established family business with a solid history and consistent trends. The buyer also has valuable professional experience in SBA funding programs, which enabled the lending process to be managed efficiently.

“A huge positive for both buyer and seller was their shared focus on family,” said Joe Cavazos, Sr. M&A Advisor for IG. “As a second generation business, the seller was able to find a successor with a common goal for the Company in its next chapter.”

IG announces the sale of a Moving and Storage Company and a Mission Critical Aerospace / X-Ray Equipment Manufacturer in 2024. Both transactions were completed with strategic buyers.

February 2024 – IG has assisted in the sale of its client, a Mission Critical Aerospace / X-Ray Equipment Manufacturer, in business for more than 55 years in Southern California. It is a leading supplier of nondestructive testing (NDT) X-ray equipment and inspection services to customers based in the aerospace, military and medical device sectors. The buyer is a Georgia-based manufacturer of X-Ray and Computed Tomography (“CT”) scanning systems.  The acquisition positions the buyer to expand its footprint on the west coast, and allows for additional products and services to be offered to the two companies’ current and prospective customers.

“We maintained a long-standing relationship with our client, through financial ups and downs, until this company stood out as the ultimate buyer,” said Sam Bath, IG Sr. M&A Advisor. “In addition, it is backed by a private equity firm with a focus on manufacturing so our client now has strong operating partners to achieve future growth.”
